Crunchy Baked Sweet Potatoes

Tossed in a mixture of cheerios and brown sugar, these baked sweet potatoes are sure to be a fun and tasty dish!

Servings: 50 servings




Potatoes, sweet, fresh, OR purchase precut sweet potatoes 16 pounds
Oil, vegetable 1 cup
Cheerios 3 cups
Sugar, brown 1/2 cup


  1. Wash and peel sweet potatoes. Cut into sticks or wedges. In a large bowl toss sweet potatoes with oil.
  2. Crush Cheerios. Mix with brown sugar. Toss the sweet potatoes with the Cheerio mixture.
  3. lace on sheet pans. For 50 servings use 2 full sheet pans (18”x26”x1”). Do not crowd the sweet potatoes or they will steam in the oven.
  4. Bake at 400° F for 20 minutes, or until tender.

  5. Serve immediately.
